Sebagai seorang peneliti dan Antropolog saya selain fokus dalam khasanah kebudayaan perkotaan dan politik, saya juga punya ketertarikan dalam menelusuri kebudayaan dan ornamen yang banyak diceritakan di Alkitab dan Al Quran.
Sebagai kolektor buku dan hobby ngejogrog di lab membawa saya ke manuscript" tua yang jarang sekali dikonsumsi oleh publik. Di salah satu thread saya, sempat ada pembahasan mengenai aktifitas mistik dalam sejarah Kristiani.
Mempelajari dan menelusuri perjalanan sejarah bukan berarti mudah, terutama ketika berkaitan dengan keimanan yang selama ini saya amini dari kecil. Namun sejarah tetaplah sejarah dan diletakkan pada porsi dan posisi berdasarkan bukti literature yang ada. Terlepas dari siapa yang menulis dan kepentingan si penulis literatur tersebut.
Penelusuran sejarah dan literatur ini mempertemukan saya dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang mendasar. Pertanyaan ini kemudian saya ajukan kepada pendeta dan kawan-kawan yang kebetulan menuntut ilmu di Sekolah Teologia.
Banyak hal yang kemudian terpaparkan yang kemudian malah menimbulkan banyak pertanyaan keimanan lagi. Salah satu dari hasil diskusi-diskusi ini adalah rekomendasi untuk mempelajari kitab-kitab yang sudah terdatabase di software ini. Terbayang betapa repotnya harus mengakses dan memiliki ribuan kitab-kitab ini apabila masih berbentuk fisik. Jangankan untuk mengcopy secara fisik, untuk biaya ongkos kirimnya saja pasti bikin kantong bolong.
Software database kitab-kitab ini pula yang menjadi salah satu pegangan sekolah-sekolah teologia di seluruh dunia. Walaupun harus diakui bahwa tidak semua mahasiswa teologia memiliki dan bisa mengakses database ini.
Maka dengan rendah hati dan berharap software database manusript ini juga bisa membantu agan-agan yang memiliki rasa penasaran yang sama dengan saya dalam mempelajari agama serta keyakinan yang selama ini kita amini serta memahami apa yang dipelajari serta sudut pandang sebenarnya para pemuka-pemuka agama, saya persembahkan software database Manuscript ini.
